Aug. 1921 Mr. Hirotaro Tsurumaru established Tsurumaru Shoten to inaugurate shipping business in Wakamatsu City.
Feb. 1935 The private firm was reorganized into a corporate organization to establish Tsurumaru Shoten Co., Ltd. with 2 million yen of capital.
Mr. Hirotaro Tsurumaru was installed as the first president. 
Aug. 1938 Renamed to Tsurumaru Kisen Co., Ltd. 
Nov. 1938 Mr. Daisuke Tsurumaru was installed as the president and representative director. 

Sept. 1950 Port transportation and cargo handling business were newly added by buying tugboats and lighters from Wakamatsu Koun Co., Ltd.     
Feb. 1959 Forged into the fields of surface transport by obtaining a cargo trucking business license for general districts.
   
   
   

May 1963 Warehousing at the Port of Kokura started by obtaining a business permit.
    
  In addition, the permit of waterfront warehouse agency was obtained that was the first permit of this category in Kyushu.
Apr. 1966 Appointed by Nippon Steel Corporation and Nisshin Steel Industry Co., Ltd. as their riverside warehouse at the Port of Kokura.
   
   

 Jan. 1976 A steelyard was built at Kokura-Nishiminato for the purpose of rationalizing steel handling.     
 Mar. 1981 Started marine shipping of industrial waste generated from the City of Kitakyushu.
   
   
   

Jul. 1991 A cement tanker Homanzan Maru (3,150 DWT) was built.     
 Sep. 1999 Acquired ISO 14001 certification.
   
   
   

Jul. 2000 A cement tanker Hiraozan Maru (4,500 DWT) was built. 
May 2005 The cargo ship Zuikaku (1,530 DWT) went into service.
Sep. 2005 A cement tanker Toyotsuru Maru (4,000 ton) was built.
Feb. 2006 Expanded the old Tokyo Sales Office to become the Tokyo Branch Office.
  M/V "Yellow Crane" was built at Qingdao, China.
Apr. 2006 The cargo ship Eikaku (1,600 DWT) went into service.
 May 2006 Built a new warehouse at Hibikinada in Wakamatsu.
May 2007 Constructed the Fukuoka HDC (Hot Delivery Center).
Jul. 2007 Established Tsurumaru Logistics (Thailand) Co., Ltd.
 

Mar. 2009 A cargo ship Ryukaku (1,800DWT) was built.
Nov. 2009 M/V "CRANE ISLAND" (32,154.71DWT) was built.
Jul. 2010 Nagoya Branch was opened.
Nov. 2010 M/V "BLUE CRANE ‡U" (6,721.23DWT) was into service.
Feb. 2011 M/V "PHOENIX ISLAND ‡U" (28,202DWT) was built.
Apr. 2012 Built Tsurumaru Kokura Building.  
 Aug. 2012 Bought a 300T all terrain crane   
 Sep. 2013 Established 'Hibiki Logistics Centre'      
Jan. 2014  'Onga', self propelling grab hopper barge (1,640 DWT) entered service 
 Feb. 2014 'Wakatsurumaru', cement carrier (6,698 DWT) entered service 
   'Sokaku', a cargo ship (1,600 DWT) entered service
 Mar. 2014 Built M/V 'MARTIN ISLAND' (32,723 DWT, co-ownership vessel)
  Established a new warehouse at the same area as dangerous goods warehouse  
 Sep. 2014 Built 'Eihikosanmaru', a cement carrier (2,000 DWT)  
 Oct. 2014 'Oriduru', a cargo ship (6,750 DWT) entered service
